How it begins
The Spring Classic is relatively young show but it has already become very popular. The Spring Classic is a vintage car race show that began in 2013. It gathers vintage cars over 20 years of age, and includes activities related to motorsport and its history. The event is organized twice a year at different location. Locations for the Spring Classic shows are selected thoroughly because it should have all required facilities.
The organizers of the event prepare routes with consideration of the condition of the roads of the selected location. All participants are provided with Route Books that have information on the routs. However, the participants are not obliged to follow them.

The Spring Classic takes place at Mazda Laguna Seca. The place is considered to be an integral part of the Monterey area because it has a great internationally-storied racing circuit. Spring Classic is the opportunity to see unique race cars over one weekend. 11 road race run groups include cars from Can-Am, Trans-Am, Formula B, FIA Sports Cars, Formula Atlantic, Formula C, etc. One of the most interesting participants is 1966-1972 Trans-Am 2.5 Liter. The Trans-Am Series was designed in 1966 by the Sports Car Club of America. The company was also known as the “Trans-American Sedan Championship”. With time the series changed name several times. Some names were somehow connected with sponsors, some – not. It is worth noting that in 2017 one of the most well-known and reputable tyre brands Pirelli became exclusive supplier of Trans Am Series. The tyre manufacturer also became racing sponsor. Change to Pirelli P Zero tyres has beneficially influenced speeds and lap times.
Bring the history back to life with Nitro Revival
Nitro Revival is for sure one of the most passionately awaited parts of spring event. It will bring back to life front engine top fuel dragsters. Visitors will have a great opportunity to see a great number of vintage vehicles and renewed nitromethane-powered drag vehicles. In addition to this, they will have a chance to see well-know racing personalities, who are coming to the show. All cars will be in the paddock during all three days of the Spring Classic. Nitro Revival is planned for the second day of the event – May 19.
Racers say that it is a great to bring back to life the best days of fuel dragsters with frog engines. All restored vehicles are so great that look like brand new. Some even say that this event can be called a reunion of racers of different times. Visitors will have a chance to see a huge number of classic street rods and hot rods, and take a picture. Organizers have prepared something special for people visiting the show. The third day of the Spring Classic will end with mass fire-up. Just imagine the roaring sounds of classic drag vehicles.
